Mr. Taubman provides counsel to issuers and institutional investors with regard to the set up and implementation of public company structures for both domestic and foreign based issuers.
Mark David Hunter manages HTFL's Miami, Florida office. He oversees the firm's Securities/Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations, Securities Litigation/Arbitration, Broker-Dealer and Investment Adviser Compliance, White Collar Criminal Defense, Governmental Investigations, and Commercial Litigation/Arbitration practice groups. Mr. Hunter is licensed in New York, Washington D.C., and Florida.
Morton Taubman manages HTFL’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on corporate finance, corporate governance, real estate, federal income tax law, government contracting, and executive counseling in H.R. matters. Mr. Taubman represents corporations, including private and public reporting companies, corporate executives, and boards of directors. He advises these clients as to their responsibilities within the corporate environment to assure their best practices on an on-going basis. Mr. Taubman also provides counsel to businesses seeking capital expansion, companies doing business with the federal and international governments, and international companies facing the challenges of doing business in foreign countries.
Luciana Zamith Fischer is a Partner in HTFL’s Miami, Florida office, where she manages the Firm’s Business Immigration practice group. She brings to our firm extensive experience with immigration law, which enables her to create unique and innovative strategies to accomplish the goals of our clients.
Ms. Ying Li is a partner at the New York office and the head of the Firm’s China Practice. Ms. Li focuses her practice in the areas of corporate finance, corporate, and securities law. Y. Ting Riess is of counsel to the firm and represents U.S. and internationally-based businesses, funds, venture capitalists, business owners and shareholders in a broad base of transactional matters. Her work has included special emphasis in secured finance, a key element in many of her clients’ concerns in mergers and acquisitions, asset transfers and other corporate transactions.
Robert C. Harris is to Hunter Taubman Fischer’s Miami office. David Shaheen is an experienced business attorney who has practiced law for over 20 years with private law firms and as in-house counsel for public and private companies. Mr. Shaheen began his legal career with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an intern and since then has guided entrepreneurs and growing companies in various stages of development from start-up to public registration. Mr. Shaheen advises clients regarding corporate & securities law, venture development and funding and a wide range of complex business transactions including mergers, sales, acquisitions and equity investments.
Robyn M. Herman is Of Counsel to Hunter Taubman Fischer & Li’s New York office. Her practice focuses on small business formation and growth. She is currently leading HTFL’s Equity Crowdfunding practice area.
Ms. Catherine Yin is an Associate at the New York office and a team member of the Firm’s China Practice. Ms. Yin focuses her practice in the areas of corporate finance, corporate governance, securities law, and startup advisory. She assists public and private companies in their corporate transactions including securities offerings of both public and private, cross-border acquisitions and other general matters. Kelsey Weiner is an Associate (pending admission) in HTFL’s New York office. She recently graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a certificate in Dispute Resolution. While at Cardozo, Kelsey served as the Symposium Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution (CJCR) as well as, the Student Liaison for the Cardozo Alumni in Compliance and Regulatory Law Group. Kelsey was a participant in Cardozo’s Intensive Transactional Lawyering Program (iTRANS), where she had the opportunity to successfully negotiate a mock Stock Purchase Agreement.
