Bio

Sarai Bryant Stewart has more than a decade of legal and business experience in the area of immigration. She received her J.D. from Florida A&M University (“FAMU”) College of Law in 2005, and her B.A. in English from the University of Florida in 2000 (go Gators!).

In addition to her extensive experience in overseeing large multinational accounts, including Fortune 500 companies, Sarai has worked with families, students, investors, professionals and skilled workers.  She has handled all types of nonimmigrant visas (H,L,E,O,TN,K,P) as well as PERM (Labor Certification), immigrant visas (a/k/a “green cards”), asylum cases, DACA cases, global mobility issues, I-9 compliance, waivers and consular processing cases.

Prior to joining HTFL, Sarai managed her own immigration practice at Bryant Stewart, P.A.  She moved to Florida in 2014 to work as Senior Counsel for Carlton Fields Jorden Burt in Miami.  From 2011 to 2014, she was a Senior Associate for Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, in Raleigh, North Carolina.  She has also worked as a Managing Attorney for Egan, LLP in Toronto, Ontario.  Between 2005 and 2010, Sarai worked at Microsoft Corporation’s immigration department, in Redmond, Washington.  While in law school, Sarai interned with the Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, reviewing the legitimacy of asylum claims.

Sarai’s memberships include: American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Dade County Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association. Her leadership roles include: Founder/President of the Hispanic American Law Students Association at FAMU College of Law, Co-founder/Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus at FAMU College of Law, United Way Center for Financial Stability Committee Member and Vice Chair of the Nuisance and Abatement Board of the Orlando City Council.   She is fluent in Spanish. *Only licensed in Washington. Restricted to the practice of immigration (nationwide).
