CN Energy Group. Inc. (the “Company”), a China-based manufacturer and supplier of wood-based activated carbon and a producer of biomass electricity, today announced the closing of its private placement (the “Private Placement”) of 4,000,000 ordinary shares, no par value, at a price of $4.50 per ordinary share. The Company received aggregate gross proceeds of $18 million from the Private Placement, before deducting placement agent’s fees and other related offering expenses. The management of the Company will have sole and absolute discretion concerning the use of the proceeds from the Private Placement.
