CN Energy Group. Inc. (the “Company”), a China-based manufacturer and supplier of wood-based activated carbon and producer of biomass electricity, today announced the closing of its private placement with a single institutional investor. On December 30, 2022, the Company issued to the investor an unsecured convertible promissory note in the original principal amount of $3,230,000 for $3,000,000 in gross proceeds, before deducting related offering expenses. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the transaction for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
