Kimberley Danzi Overs is Of Counsel to the firm. Her practice includes transactions, counseling, compliance and dispute resolution. She represents clients across diverse industries including healthcare, technology, consumer goods, advertising and consulting. Her extensive experience embedded in businesses — from startups to the Fortune 500 — informs her practical, business-enabling advice.
Ms. Overs helps clients launch products and services and forge business partnerships. Immersed in the legal issues surrounding technology for 20 years, she supports her clients in leveraging technology and data to innovate and reach key stakeholders across channels. She counsels with respect to healthcare, technology, privacy (including managing security breaches), advertising, multichannel marketing and retail/wholesale distribution and operations. She also serves as an outside general counsel.
Prior to joining HTFL, Ms. Overs held a hybrid business development and legal role for a successful startup and was in-house counsel for two Fortune 500 companies. She created and led both legal and multidisciplinary teams dedicated to accelerating the launch of digital and mobile initiatives. Ms. Overs also developed and managed global privacy and incident response functions. Partnering with risk management and procurement functions, she enhanced vendor onboarding and management programs.
Ms. Overs is a member of the New York City Bar’s Information Technology and Cyber Law Committee. She also served on the Board of the International Pharmaceutical Privacy Consortium. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and served on the Advisory Board of the Future of Privacy Forum.
Ms. Overs began her career as a litigator at New York-based Am Law 100 and Am Law 200 firms and specialized in international litigation and arbitration of intellectual property disputes. She clerked as a Stagiaire for Advocate General Fennelly of the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg as well as for the International Chamber of Commerce, International Court of Arbitration in Paris, France.
Ms. Overs holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in intellectual property and international law. She earned her J.D. at the State University of New York at Buffalo and her B.A. in English at the University of Virginia.
