HTFL is pleased to announce that

Ying Li has joined as a Member and a Partner of the New York Office,

Joan Wu has joined as a Partner of the New York Office,

and that Catherine Yin has joined as an Associate of the New York Office.

Louis Taubman, the managing partner of HTFL’s New York office, said that the new additions will enhance the Firm’s corporate and securities practice and significantly expand its international capabilities in alignment with the needs of its clients. 

Ms. Ying Li has joined the Firm as a partner at the New York office and the head of the Firm’s China
Practice. Ms. Li focuses her practice in the areas of corporate finance, corporate, and securities law. She assists public and private companies in their corporate transactions including securitizations, banking, public financings, international market financings, cross-border acquisitions and other general matters. Her experience includes representation of issuers of securities as well as investors, underwriters and placement agents in connection with both public and private offerings of equity and debt securities in the U.S. In particular, Ms. Li advises various China-based and U.S. listed companies in connection with their underwritten offerings, private placements and reverse merger transactions. She counsels public companies with respect to periodic reporting obligations as well as on corporate governance issues. Ms. Li has also represented foreign investors and real estate developers in connection with U.S. EB-5 programs. Ms. Li’s clients include bio-tech companies, software developers, FINRA registered broker/dealers and other companies involved in the financial sector, SPACs, pharmaceutical companies, real estate developers, manufacturing companies, high net worth individuals, and a number of small businesses. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Li was a partner of the New York office of Zhong Lun Law Firm (中伦律师事务所). She also spent time as an associate in several well-regarded securities law firms in New York. Ms. Li received her J.D. degree from Cornell Law School in 2006.

Ms. Joan Wu has joined the Firm as a partner at the New York office. Her practice focuses on
corporate, securities as well as mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Wu represents both public and private
companies across the globe, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and North America, in securities
offerings and M&A transactions. Clients she has represented include multinational corporations and
microcap companies in transactions ranging from billion dollar M&A transactions to start-up financings. She also represents issuers in their listing on NASDAQ, NYSE MKT and OTC through IPO, reverse merger, or merger with SPACs, in their public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, commercial transactions and compliance with the federal securities law. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Wu worked at two mid-size full service law firms in NYC. She was previously affiliated with a “magic circle” firm in Hong Kong and acted as an in-house counsel for a fortune 100 multinational conglomerate in Hartford Connecticut. Ms. Wu received her L.L.M. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 2004. 

Ms. Catherine Yin has joined the New York office as an associate. She specializes in securities
regulations including Title II and Title III of the JOBS Act as well as broker-dealer regulations, and
various public and private securities offerings. Ms. Yin previously worked as Legal Counsel to a U.S.
publicly reporting company, an associate at a mid-sized securities law firm in New York, and as a Legal Intern with the Office of Chief Counsel, Division of Trading and Markets, of the Securities Exchange Commission. Ms. Yin received her J.D. degree from University of Iowa College of Law in 2013.
